Wigan on 3rd February
started slowly with not many in at the beginning of the
first set.
It's a shame because
this venue used to be packed out every time a band was on. I
think it's a sign of the times with all the other venues now
open 'til all hours scrapping for custom.
However, the crowds
came in for the start of the second half and the atmosphere
picked up brilliantly.
Wigan, tell all your
friends about live bands on at the Walkabout on Friday
nights. It's something different to all the crappy DJ's
playing all that drum and bass shite in the other venues
dotted along King Street.

Day!!
Manchester Walkabout
Sat 11th. Good old Manchester never lets us down and is
definitely one of the favourites with the lads in the Band.
It is always packed with an absolutely fantastic crowd. From
the beginning, we had almost everybody bouncing,
particularly to 'take Me Out', I Predict A Riot' and the old
faithful '500miles'. The DJ called us awesome. If anybody
throughout the country is thinking of going to Manchester
for a Saturday night out then you can do no worse than
ending up in the Walkabout there. The venue is now open til
3.00am and th DJ plays some cracking 'choons' before and
after the Band has played. The Bands usually go on at 11.15
and there is a queue to get in so turn up early to make
sure. We would love to do Manchester more often the
reception we get is fantastic. See you all back here on May
27, unless we get an earlier booking.
Our next booking is
feb 24th in Doncaster, We can't wait, this is another top
venue.
Doncaster 24th Feb -
Doncaster ranks up there with Manchester, Derby, Sheffield,
Birmingham and of course Newquay. Yes this is our 2nd most
local venue and the place always surprises us in the fact
that it's not too full 'till about 10-45 or so then it is
packed out with people having a great time within minutes!
This night was no different. From the time we went on to
the time we finished the second set, the crowd were
brilliant. They respond to very song and always make us
welcome. We would love to do this venue more often over the
year, so people of Donny, get on to the management of the
Walkabout and request a quick return to our second home.
This week we are rehearsing 3 more songs so expect some new
stuff next time 23rd June |
