WEDDINGS
& PARTIES
THIS IS A CRACKER !!
Hi Pete,
Been on honeymoon, sorry for
the delay.
We are just dropping you a
line regarding our wedding on the 7th June 2008 at
Hodsock Priory, Blyth.
When we first decided to have
a live band instead of a DJ, we did our research. We saw several
bands, mainly at the Walkabout in Sheffield. Our aim was to find
a band who could play and actually sing, and who had
a set list to please everyone at our wedding. It was never going
to be easy as our musical taste is predominantly heavy metal. It
turned out to be a tall order. Some had the set list, but could
not sing their way out of a paper bag! Some could play and sing,
but had next to no interaction with the audience. Some were just
plain awful. After a good few months of looking Junction 34
played at the walkabout, and we made the “sober” decision that
night to book them. We had seen what they could do in the
walkabout with drunken 20yr olds, and our expectations were high,
but could they play a smaller venue, with less people, whose
average age was about 40 and still get them going?
We need not have worried.
Junction 34 were quite simply awesome. They totally exceeded our
expectations and instead of being the “bit in the day” that we
were not sure about, they turned it into “the bit in the day” that
nobody can stop talking about.
“That band was brilliant”
“Where did you find that band?” “They played a real mix of stuff”
“There was something for everyone” Are just some of the quote’s
we have had. We had been winding up our guests that we had booked
a heavy metal band for the night (something actually believable if
you know us), and when Teresa told the band they even joined in.
Graham started by saying to the audience “it’s an unusual booking
for us to do a wedding as were actually a heavy metal covers band,
introduced the band as “Satan’s Knives” and began playing the
first few bars of Metallica’s Enter Sandman. I will never forget
the look on our guests faces, they were horrified. It was
perfect. After about 10 seconds they stopped and started for
real. Our guests realised they had been duped, and the night
began. The band played some great songs, the dance floor was
never empty and the atmosphere was electric. They were really
friendly and approachable and even altered the set list to
accommodate my new wife’s need for a bit of Green Day later on in
the second set.
Its 2 weeks after the event
and people are still talking about the band. Our wedding day went
without a single thing going wrong and Junction 34 finished it off
in true style. If anyone is thinking of booking this band, just
do it. You will not get a more professional, capable and talented
band and they really know how to interact and work with an
audience.
Please pass on our many
thanks to the band, they were truly wonderful. My wife and I
can’t thank the band enough. A great day was turned into a
fantastic one that we will never forget.
All the best
Adrian & Teresa Mottram

Once again those lads have out done themselves! It was absolutely
amazing and everyone said how incredible they were. I have no doubt
it will not be long before I see them again somewhere, and I
certainly hope last night will get them a lot of repeat business for
other friends weddings, as well as just parties!!
Please thank them all very much on behalf of Rachel and myself,
those guys truly do rock!!!

Hi Peter, The band were absolutely brilliant, brilliant ,
brilliant, a refreshing, up to date alternative to your normal
wedding bands, which was exactly what we wanted. They were
fantastic and seemed genuinely a nice bunch of lads. They got all
the blokes up dancing which was good, don't think I have ever seen
Rob dance so much, and they didn't even flinch when a few of more
'excited' ones fell on the stage. Everybody commented how good
they were and have asked for your details. We hope to come and see
them next time they play in Sheffield.
Many thanks, and feel free to use our comments.

Peter,
Absolutely brilliant, we couldn't
have asked for better. Everyone commented on how good the band
was. We and everyone there will be recommending the band at any
opportunity and we will no doubt see them again at one of our or
one of our friends/family occasions.
Many thanks

Hi Pete
Thanks for checking
back in and sorry for the delay in coming back to you. We've just
got back from our honeymoon.
The guys were great
and really got the party going. Just like I remembered them from
the work AGM.
Did they find
everything ok? I appreciate there were a couple of teething
problems on the night with sound checks etc but I'm not sure that
any of the guests noticed!
Thanks again for
sorting it all out. We'll recommend the band to others for the
future
Just to add to that, that the
band were absolutely AMAZING! We kept getting comments all night
that the band were fantastic, and everyone at work today has also
said that they really rocked. I was getting quite stressed as the
speeches had overrun and the DJ's speaker had broken, but as soon
as the guys got going everything was alright. I was on the dance
floor all night and ended up a very sweaty bride!
Thanks
for all your help, and please pass on to the band our extra
special thanks as well.

Hi,
Thought I’d drop
you an email to say how great you were at Mark and Katies wedding in
Bingley on Saturday. We all had a fantastic night and loved each
song you did. As you know the dance floor was packed and the place
was bouncing from the continuous dancing and singing. Everyone was
talking about how good you were the following morning and I’m still
buzzing from a great night of entertainment. So a big thankyou !

" Everything went fantastic - the band were absolutely
brilliant, and got the crowd worked into some sort of dancing
frenzy. Lots of people told us that they were excellent the
morning afterwards, and I think quite a few people thanked them on
the night too. REALLY REALLY pleased we booked them, we wouldn't
have changed a single thing about it - thanks Pete Mark
"Just a note to say I was at the Macdonald's function on
Saturday night and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance you guys
put on !! Do you do your own material as well? And apart from
Walkabout Sat could you send me your future gig listings
Cheers Sarah
